Umamin ang actress at Queen of Creative Collaborations na si Heart Evangelista, sa isang interview kamakailan na nag-audition siya for the role of Arminta Lee sa pelikulang Crazy Rich Asians.
“I auditioned here in the Philippines, and I remember I got a crew, and I did a scene, like a real scene from a telenovela,” sabi ni Heart. “After submitting my entry, I received more than 10 missed calls from an agent based in Los Angeles. Nang masagot ko tanong niya, ‘How come you’re not answering your phone? Your presentation paused in the middle of the showing. They’re willing to take a break if you could send an email for that so they could continue watching the audition.’
“Sabi ko, ‘grabe naman!’ And then, they asked if I was available to shoot so sabi ko, siyempre, of course. But then, they never called me back.”

Hindi man daw niya nakuha ang part, grateful pa rin si Heart sa opportunities na natanggap niya, at naging new friend niya ang author ng librong Crazy Rich Asians na si Kevin Kwan.
Sa movie, si Araminta Lee ay ginampanan ni Sonoya Mizuno, isang celebrated fashion icon ng Singapore, at heiress ng Lee’s Billionaire Hotel Chain.
