BILANG bahagi ng isinusulong na programa sa kanayunan, nagsagawa ng relief operation ang Chooks-to-Go para sa mga biktima ng lindol na tumama sa Davao Del Sur nitong December 15.
Kabuuang 200 pamilya na kasalukuyang nanunuluyan sa basketball courts ng Barangay Lower Limonso sa Padada, ang nakatanggap ng tulong sa programang, pinangasiwaan ng basketball siblings Andre at Kobe Paras.
“Despite the holidays, Kobe, Andre, and the entire Davao Business Center of Bounty immediately said yes when I told them about this surprise. They really wanted to help out our brothers and sisters in need,” pahayag ni Chook-to-Go official Ronald Mascariñas.
“It’s sad to know na very recent ang nangyari pero halos nakalimutan na ng mga tao like nothing happened,” sambit ni Andre. “They need our help that’s why when I heard Chooks is going, I took the opportunity. I really wanna be here.

“Kahit mabawasan lang ang stress nila at mapangiti namin sila even for a day malaking bagay na yun.”
Bawat pamilya ay nakatanggap ng groceries, sleeping bags, bottles of mineral water, at pagkain para sa mga bata.
Pinamunuan din ni Mike Swift ang kasiyahan sa isinagawang parlor games, kabilang ang Chooks-to-Go chicken eating contest.
“I’m just glad we were able to make them smile despite everything that has happened to them,” pahayag ni Kobe. “They deserve to have a Merry Christmas.”
Sinabi ni Kobe, isa sa pinakasikat na collegiate basketball player sa University of the Philippines, na iaalay niya ang mga laro sa UAAP para sa mga biktima ng naturang kalamidad.
“What they are going through right now is hard. Knowing their stories inspires us to do more. For every game, I will play next season, I will always have them in my mind and in my heart,” aniya.
