NAKOPO ng Cebu Leylam F.C. Niños sang inaugural Philam Vitality KAMPEON 7s Cup crown nang gapiin ang Maharlika F.C. Manila, 5-3, nitong Linggo sa McKinley Hill Stadium sa Taguig.
Nanguna si Marius Kore sa Cebuanos sa first half bago rumatsada ang Niños sa kabuun ng laro tungo sa tagumpay laban sa mga koponan mula sa Manila, Bacolod, at Davao.
Umariba ang Leylam F.C. sa 3-0 sa first half bago nakasingit si Aly Borormeo para sa Manila sa kaagahan ng second half. Nasundan ito ni Anton Del Rosario para makadikit sa 2-3.
Ngunit, hindi nagparaya ang Cebu at mula kay Leo Maquiling muling umarya ang Cebuanos. Napalusutan ang Manila ng Cebu para sa 4-2 bentahe.
Ilang pagkakataon ang nasayang ng Manila para maitabla ang iskor, sapat para masungkit ng Cebuano ang titulo.
“We worked hard for this tournament. We trained for two months. We believed and we knew nothing could stop us,” sambit ni Kore. “For me, it’s also my first time to play in a tournament like this, going against some professionals, UFL, and PFL players, so it was a good challenge for me.”

Sinabi ni Del Rosario na ang Season 4 Manila, na nakatakda sa September 8, at lalahukan ng 12 men’s teams, eight men’s second division teams, 12 women’s teams, at apat na youth division tournaments.
Nakalinya rin ang ASEAN 7s Cup na lalahukan din ng Brunei, Singapore, at Malaysia.
“We need to be able to create dreams for the kids, and to provide dreams for the kids is creating an angle, and the angle we want is for them to play for their country. When this ASEAN 7s goes down, we will be able to create a platform for the youth all the way to the national team,” aniya.
