Inanunsyo sa publiko ng Qatar ang pagdedeklara nila ng “persona non grata” sa embahada ng Iran dahil sa umano’y patuloy na pag-atake ng huli sa kanilang estado.
Matatandaang nagpakawala ang Iran noong Miyerkules, Marso 18, 2026, ng sunod-sunod na drone at missile patungo sa mga bansang Gulf area. Ilang malalakas na pagsabog ang narinig sa Riyadh, habang may na-intercept ding banta ng missile sa United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Apat na katao ang nasugatan sa Riyadh matapos mahulugan ng debris mula sa na-intercept na ballistic missile, ayon sa civil defense.
Dahil dito, iniulat ng QatarEnergy na nagdulot ang mga naging pag-atakeng ito ng Iran ng “extensive damage” sa pinakamalaking gas hub sa mundo na matatagpuan sa Ras Laffan, Qatar.

Ayon naman sa inilabas na pahayag ng Ministry of Foreign Affairs ng Qatar sa kanilang “X” nitong Huwebes, Marso 19, 2026, sinabi nilang may 24 oras o isang araw lamang ang military, security, at maging mga empleyado ng embahada ng Iran para umalis sa kanilang bansa.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs delivered an official note to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State, stating that Qatar considers both the military attache and the security attache at the embassy, in addition to the staff of the two attache offices ‘persona non grata’, and requests that they leave the country within a maximum period of (24) hours,” pagsisimula nila.

Matapos umano ito ng naging pagpupulong nina HE Director of Protocol at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ibrahim Yousif Fakhro ng Qatar at HE Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State Ali Salehabadi noong Miyerkules, Marso 18, 2026.
Paliwanag ng ministro ng Qatar, dahil daw ito sa tuloy-tuloy na pag-atake at pagpuntirya ng Iran sa kanilang estado, kung saan malinaw daw nitong nilalabag sa international law at United Nations Security Council Resolution No. (2817).
“The ministry explained that this decision comes in response to repeated Iranian targeting and the blatant aggression against the State of Qatar, which violated its sovereignty and security, in a flagrant breach of the principles of international law, United Nations Security Council Resolution No. (2817), and the principles of good neighborliness,” anila.
Dagdag pa nila, “The ministry stressed that the continuation of this hostile approach by the Iranian side will be met with additional measures by the State of Qatar, in a manner that ensures the protection of its sovereignty, security, and national interests.”
Pagtitiyak ng Qatar, may karapatan daw silang gawin ang anomang aksyon para maprotektahan ang kanilang soberanya at seguridad.
“The ministry affirmed that the State of Qatar reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and security, in accordance with the provisions of international law,” pagtatapos pa nila.
