Inihayag ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na aarestuhin nila si Senador Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa, kasunod ng go signal mula sa Department of Justice (DOJ) tungkol sa arrest warrant ng International Criminal Court (ICC) laban sa senador, Huwebes, Mayo 21.
Matatandaang kinumpirma ni DOJ Spokesperson Atty. Polo Martinez na may hiling na ang ahensya para sa Red Notice sa Interpol laban kay Dela Rosa, na maituturing nang isang "fugitive," ayon mismo kay DOJ Sec. Fredderick Vida.

Tiniyak naman ng hilippine National Police (PNP) na sila ay tatalima sa direktibang ibinaba ng DOJ hinggil sa ICC arrest warrant laban kay Dela Rosa.

Samantala sa isang pahayag ni NBI Director Melvin Matibag, sinabi niyang aarestuhin nila si Dela Rosa nang walang delay.
"The order is to arrest Senator Dela Rosa, so we'll do so without delay," saad ni Matibag.
"In carrying our the arrest, we will strictly abide by the rules and ensure it is done professionally, as we always do," ika pa niya.
"Fugitive Senator Dela Rosa will be arrested whether he likes it or not because we have to implement the law without fear or favor."
Binanggit din ni Matibag ang tungkol sa desisyon ng Korte Suprema na nagbabasura sa inihaing petisyong temporary restraining order (TRO) ng kampo ng senador, na naglalayong hindi pahintulutan ang pag-aresto sa kaniya ng ICC.
"That's why we are effecting the arrest in the absence of a TRO from the Supreme Court," ayon pa kay Matibag.
