Tiniyak ng  Philippine National Police (PNP) na sila ay tatalima sa direktibang ibinaba ng Department of Justice (DOJ) hinggil sa pagpapalaganap ng warrant of arrest na inisyu ng International Criminal Court (ICC) laban kay Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

Sa isang pahayag na ibinahagi ng PNP nitong Huwebes, Mayo 21, idiniin nila ang kanilang paggalang sa proseso ng hustisya sa bansa.

“The Philippine National Police (PNP) takes note of the directive issued by the Department of Justice (DOJ) directing the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to effect the warrant of arrest against Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa,” saad ng PNP.

Anila, “The PNP respects the processes of the justice system and recognizes the authority of competent government agencies in the implementation of lawful orders.”

Anang ahensya, nararapat lamang daw na gawin ng pulisya ang kanilang mandatong nakabatay sa mga umiiral na batas.

“As a law enforcement agency, the PNP shall perform its mandate in accordance with existing laws, due process, and established operational procedures,” anang ahensya.

“The PNP likewise assures the public that all actions undertaken shall remain impartial, professional, and within the bounds of the law, with full respect for the constitutional rights of all parties concerned,” pagtatapos ng PNP.
