Maituturing na "fugitive" o takas sa batas si Sen. Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa, ayon mismo kay Department of Justice (DOJ) Sec. Fredderick Vida, sa isinagawang media conference nitong Huwebes, Mayo 21.
Ayon kay Vida, inatasan na ang law enforcement agencies gaya ng Philippine National Police (PNP) at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na ipatupad na ang warrant of arrest laban kay Sen. Dela Rosa mula sa International Criminal Court (ICC) kaugnay sa pagiging co-perpetrator sa kasong crimes against humanity na kinahaharap ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, dahil sa war on drugs noong kaniyang administrasyon.
"The Philippine law enforcement agencies, which would include the PNP and National Bureau of Investigation, are now tasked to effect the arrest of Sen. Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa. Sen. Bato is a fugitive from justice, and he should be brought to the ICC to face the charges before him," saad ni Vida.
Matatandaang lumabas na ang desisyon ng Korte Suprema na nagbabasura sa inihaing petisyong temporary restraining order (TRO) ng kampo ng senador, na naglalayong hindi pahintulutan ang pag-aresto sa kaniya ng ICC.
Sa kasalukuyan, hindi pa matukoy ang kinaroroonan ng senador, matapos na umalis ng premises ng Senado noong Mayo 14 ng madaling-araw, matapos ang kaguluhan sa Senado noong Mayo 13, kahit na pinagkalooban siya ng preventive custody sa pag-apruba ni Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano.
