Opisyal nang kinumpirma nina Kapuso actress Kate Valdez at dating Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate Fumiya Sankai ang pagtatapos ng kanilang relasyon matapos ang mahigit isang taon nilang pagsasama.

Ayon sa naging joint statement sa publiko sa parehas na social media accounts nina Kate at Fumiya noong Linggo, Pebrero 8, 2026, sinabi nilang hindi nila naging intensyong magkaroon ng iba’t ibang konklusyon mula sa publiko ang tungkol sa kanilang relasyon.
“We want to acknowledge the confusion and speculation caused by our silence and recent changes online. We understand that this has led to various conclusions. This was never our intention,” pagsisimula nila.

Pagkukumpirma ng dalawa, napagdesisyunan daw nilang maghiwalay na ng landas para sa kanilang personal na paglago, paghahanap ng oras, at espasyo.
“Following considerable thought, we have mutually decided to go our separate ways. This decision was made with respect, understanding, and care for one another. We believe that this step is necessary for our personal growth, as we each need time and space to focus on healing and self-development,” paliwanag nila.
Ani Kate at Fumiya, wala raw “bitterness” na namagitan sa kanilang dalawa at humingi sila ng pag-intindi at respeto mula sa kanilang mga tagasuporta sa kanilang paghihiwalay.
“There is no bitterness between us, only gratitude for what we shared and hope for what lies ahead. We kindly ask for your understanding and respect as we move forward separately."
