Batay sa mga ulat, si Sadusta ay pinsan ng dating pangulo at ni Bong.

Hindi naman idinetalye sa nabanggit na post ang dahilan ng pagkamatay ni Bong.
Nagpaabot din ng pakikiramay para sa pamilya ni Bong ang isang grupo ng mga tagasuporta ni Vice President Sara Duterte, sa pamamagitan ng Facebook page na "Sara Region VI."
"On behalf of Sara Region VI, we extend our deepest condolences to the Duterte family. We mourn the passing of Bong Duterte, the youngest brother of Tatay Digong," mababasa rito.
