Nagbitiw na si Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong bilang Special Adviser ng Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) nitong Biyernes, Setyembre 26.
Sa resignation letter na ipinadala ni Magalong kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., sinabi niyang pinalamya umano ng mga pahayag ng Palasyo ang tungkulin at mandatong ipinagkatiwala sa kaniya.
“The Palace's pronouncements concerning my designation, which run contrary to the terms of my appointment, have undermined the role and mandate entrusted to me,” saad ni Magalong.
Dagdag pa ng alkalde, ”Combined with circumstances that already cast doubt on the independence of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure, it has become clear that my continued service is no longer tenable.”

Matatandaang ipinag-utos ng Pangulo sa kaniyang legal team na pag-aralan ang pagkatalaga kay Magalong bilang special adviser ng komisyon dahil sa posibleng conflict of interest.
