“As a company that loves animals, we understand the importance of accommodating pets. However, we must also consider factors such as spacing and the safety of all our guests,” saad ng Balay Dako.
Gayunman, sinabi ng ilang netizens na hindi raw katanggap-tanggap ang naging public apology ng Balay Dako dahil hindi raw nito inaddress mismo ang isyu.
Narito ang kanilang mga komento:
"The perfect example of Non-Apology Apology that we use in our customer service workshops. Balay Dako , we can still root for you, but you can definitely do better than this."
"Just say “No Pets Allowed” and people would probably understand it (like McDo), kaysa “Pet-Friendly” kuno pero may limitations and restrictions."
"You still did not directly address the issue about Yoda, the Aspin. In your apology letter, you specifically stated "However, we must also consider factors such as spacing and the safety of all our guests." Can you enlighten us then, what factors were considered why Yoda was not allowed entry to your premises.Spacing and safety, what about these two factors apply to Yoda? This issue is about Yoda, the Aspin, it would be clearer if you could address your apology letter to the furparents if indeed you are apologetic about this "misunderstanding" as you have stated.A lot of furparents have been emotionally affected by this incident, a clearer statement would help all of us understand this "misunderstanding."Thank you"
"To quote you, "Additionally, we will take steps to ensure that our staff are better trained and guided to understand and implement our policies effectively."However, this isn't just about your policies. What if we focus on training and guiding your staff on the nature of Aspins, animal welfare, and breed discrimination? This way, they can better understand and implement policies that are truly geared towards creating a compassionate, pet-friendly environment."
"No offense to the company but your apology letter doesn’t sound sincere at all, matter-of fact still sounds very defensive to most furparents because of the following:“The safety of all our guest” - implies that you consider Yoda as a threat. Safety does not only apply to humans but all your guest including the pets inside your establishment.“More Space?”How much space can Yoda occupy? Clearly Yoda will stay beside his furparents.Above all:Nowhere we can read in your letter what all of us were looking forward to:YOU DID NOT APOLOGIZE TO THE FURPARENT AND YODA!What people want is true accountability.GENUINE HEARTFELT APOLOGY.I sincerely hope as well that the staff will be spared from this issue as well, baka ang ending sila pa ang pa tanggal sa trabaho when as a matter of fact your guidelines are unclear.Hope this serves as a lesson and we learn from this. we Love the Aspins! Treat all dogs with respect and love"
"Okay lang naman mag set ng boundaries lalo na sa establishment at may ibang taong involved. Pero ang problema selective. Nagset ng rule pero di applicable sa lahat. Ang kupal. Tapos Filipino themed resto honoring filipino culture pero badtrip sa aspin. Nagcocontradict ung trip."
"Don't call it an apology when they didn't apologize at all. They even made it worse by insinuating that aspins are unsafe. this is a PR strategy, not an authentic apology."
"Am going back to Philippines this December and were planning to go visit here, but because of this I'll definitely stay away. Just one piece of advice, I hope you do EDUCATE YOUR STAFF AND MANAGEMENT when branding yourself as a PET FRIENDLY establishment"
"i always go to Balay Dako, but because of this pet discrimination incident i'll opt to go to Bellissima in Escala Hotel nalang (not a fur dad but i love dogs soooo much, and also my family sa probinsya has one lovely aspin too)"
"We will understand if bawal but we will never understand pet discrimination! Ang arte nyo!!! What a toxic mindset, pag aspin hindi pwede? If hindi nyo kaya maging pet or animal friendly- just simply dont allow any animals!"
