Naganap ang pagtanggap niya ng certificate of completion kasama ang mga kaklase sa Brigade Training and Doctrine Center, Naval Combat Engineering Brigade Naval Station Jose Francisco, sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City kahapon ng Lunes, Marso 25.

Noong 2019 ay sumailalim sa military training si Dingdong bilang paghahanda sa Philippine adaptation ng patok na South Korean series "Descendants of the Sun" katambal si Jennylyn Mercado.

Pag-amin ni Dingdong noon, muntik na siyang sumuko dahil sa hirap ng training subalit mabuti na lamang at sinuportahan siya ng mga sundalong nakasama at gumabay sa kanila sa training.
