Sinisiyasat na ng National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) ang naganap na brownout sa mga lalawigan na sakop ng Panay Island nitong Sabado.
“At 8:54 a.m., NGCP monitored a disturbance. Multiple power plants in Panay disengaged from the transmission system,” ayon sa social media post ng nasabing pribadong korporasyon.
"NGCP is investigating the root cause of the system disturbance and will release information as soon as available," dagdag nito.
Apektado ng power outage ang Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan at Antique.

“Parts of the franchise areas of AKELCO (Aklan Electric Cooperative), CAPELCO (Capiz Electric Cooperative), ANTECO (Antique Electric Cooperative), MORE Power, ILECO (Iloilo Electric Cooperative) I, ILECO II, and ILECO III lost power," lahad pa ng NGCP.
