Winasak ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ang mahigit sa ₱4.1 bilyong halaga ng shabu sa Integrated Waste Management, Inc (IWMI) facility sa Trece Martires City, Cavite nitong Huwebes.

Sinabi ng PDEA, umabot sa 726,378.51 gramo ang sinira sa pamamagitan ng thermal decomposition o thermolysis.

“The destruction of the dangerous drugs is in compliance with the guidelines set on the custody and disposition of seized dangerous drugs under Section 21, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 1, Series of 2002,’’ pahayag ng PDEA.

Sumaksi rin sa pagsira ng droga ang mga kinatawan ng PDEA, Department of Justice, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police (PNP), mga local official ng Barangay Aguado, Trece Martires City.
