Tiniyak ni testing czar Vince Dizon nitong Martes na healthcare workers at medical frontliners ay ang unang mababakunahan sa sandaling dumating ang mga bakuna sa kalagitnaan ng Pebrero.
Sa isang panayam sa CNN, sinabi ni Dizon na inaasahang makakakuha ang Pilipinas ng halos 117,000 dosis mula sa Pfizer sa kalagitnaan ng Pebrero, at humigit-kumulang 5.5 hanggang 9 milyong dosis mula sa AstraZeneca sa kalagitnaan hanggang huli ng Pebrero, ayon kay Dizon.
“The COVAX facility has formally informed the Philippines that for the first and second quarter, we would get anywhere between 5.5 to 9.4 million doses of both Pfizer and AstraZeneca,” panigurado niya.
“This is very positive news and we will really kickstart our vaccination program, we are assured to start inoculating beginning with our healthcare workers and our frontliners this February,” sinabi ni Dizon.
Ipaprayoridad ang healthcare workers at medical frontliners upang matiyak na kumpiyansa at protektado sila mula sa COVID-19 at upang mabawasan din ang hawaan, ayon kay Dizon.
Binigyang diin din ng testing czar ang kahalagahan ng kumpiyansa sa pagbabakuna para sa tagumpay ng programa ng inokulasyon.
“Vaccination confidence is the most crucial part of this entire program and as we roll out this February, showing that our healthcare workers are the ones who will initially receive this. I think will boost confidence tremendously, not just for healthcare workers, but for everybody,” aniya.
