MAY reaction ang ABS-CBN writer na si Jerry Gracio sa pahayag at apela ni Toni Gonzaga na tigilan ang pambaba-bash kay Russo Laurente, ang second housemate na na-evits sa Pinoy Big Brother.
“Back to work this 2021. For our 2nd eviction night housemate Russu was evicted because of a mistake he did that eventually made him realize the damage it has done. People are very quick to judge him, call him names and cruxify him on social media because of it without realizing that at 19 years old, he doesn’t know the gravity of words spoken. He has learned his lesson and this will help him grow and mature in life. And now that he knows better, he will do better. May this also serve as a reminder for us to not define and label a person by the mistakes they’ve committed but from how they rise up, rebuild and become a better person they are really supposed to be. I hugged the boy after the show and he kept apologizing. Forgiveness is a gift everyone deserves.”
Sagot ni Jerry kay Toni, “Toni, libo ang Kapamilya natin na nawalan ng hanapbuhay. Ano ang karapatan mong mag-sorry sa ngalan ng isang housemate na pumabor sa pagsasara ng ABS-CBN? Wag mong insultuhin ang mga Kapamilya na lumaban pero nawalan pa rin ng trabaho, di tulad mo na may trabaho pa rin ngayon.”

Sobrang na-bash si Toni dahil sa inaakala ng Kapamilya fans na ipinagtanggol niya si Russu, tinawag siyang DDS o supporter ni President Rodrigo Duterte, Marcos apologist, enabler at iba pang masasakit na salita. May nananawagan pa sa ABS-CBN na ‘wag nang i-renew ng network ang kanyang kontrata kapag nag-expire na.
Nagalit pa ang Kapamilya fans kay Toni dahil noong kasagsagan daw ng hearing ng franchise renewal ng ABS-CBN, tahimik siya at hindi nagsalita para ipagtanggol ang network at ang maraming empleyado na nawalan ng trabaho. Bakit ngayon daw ay nagsalita si Toni at ipinagtanggol pa si Russo? Dahil daw ba sa pareho silang DDS?
