PASOK ang pelikulang Tagpuan nina Alfred Vargas, Shaina Magdayao at Iza Calzado sa 46th edition ng taunang Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Para sa actor/politician, honored at proud siyang napabilang ito this year.

Ang Tagpuan — mula sa script ng award-winning screenplay writer na si Ricky Lee at sa direksyon naman ng ace filmmaker na si Mac Alejandre— ay kinunan sa tatlong lokasyon: Manila, Hong Kong at New York. “I am very honored and excited to once again be part of the MMFF,” sambit ng mambabatas ng 5th district ng Quezon City. “My last entries were Bridal Shower and Banal. Both were award-winning films.” Bakit ito ang must-see movie ng festival?

“It’s a Ricky Lee love story, directed by Mac Alejandre, shot in Hong Kong and New York. As simple as that,” pagmamalaki ni Cong. Alfred.

“Not to mention the mesmerizing performances of Iza Calzado and Shaina Magdayao. Tagpuan is about real love that transcends conventions and judgment.

“It faces pain bravely not knowing how things will end up. Love is how you are willing to fight for something until the end. You’ll know what I mean when you watch Tagpuan,” lahad pa ng award-winning actor.

At ano nga ba ang nagustuhan niya sa script ng Tagpuan kayat nagpasya siyang i-produce ito?

“It’s a beautiful and real love story,” mabilis na tugon ng kongresista. “It’s the kind of love that we adults have gone through. I’ve always wanted to produce quality films that the audience can relate to and remember forever.”

At ang makatrabaho si Direk Mac, para kay Cong. Alfred, is a fulfillment.

“Direk Mac is one of the most brilliant directors I have ever worked with. He’s definitely up there in his generation of filmmakers,” aniya.

“Direk Mac has both the heart and the mind as his strengths. He follows his gut and always has a clear understanding of the emotions of the film. He’s definitely the actors’ director.
