Si phenomenal star Maine Mendoza ang napili ngayong pinakabagong ‘Babaeng Biyahero’ Celebrity Champion, na nasa ikatlong taon na ang national campaign ng “Safe and Fair: Realizing Women Migrant Workers Rights and Opportunities in the Asian Region.”
“I’ll always salute our Filipina migrant workers. I feel grateful to be a part of the initiative since it’s something close to my heart, especially after being exposed to a lot of opportunities that helped me understand the situation,” ipinahayag ni Maine.
“I look forward to bringing awareness and educating more people about how we can create a culture of safety and security for our women here and abroad,” aniya pa.

Sinabi ni United Nations Women National Project Coordinator Charisse Jordan, malaki ang maitutulong ni Maine sa women empowerment lalo na sa mga nagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa.
Sa Pilipinas, ang programa ay co-implemented ng UN Women at International Labour Organization.
Nagkaroon ng special participation si Maine sa ‘Together Tayo Babaeng Biyahero” help end the violence against OFW women launch hosted by Ms. Suzi Entrata.
