Makikita pa ri ng kanyang fans ang kanyang mga litrato mula sa Miss Universe pageant held in Las Vegas, Nevada ngunit wala na ang mga imahe niya in swimsuits. Ang sexiest photos na makukuha sa IG ay ang mga larawan niya na naka-shorts habang nasa dalampasigan.

Hindi na rin aktibo si Venus sa Facebook. Ang last entry ng Bicolana sa FB ay noon pang 2017 na nagpapakita ng collage ng Philippine contestants sa Miss Universe pageant in swimsuits.

Sa exclusive interview sa party para sa winners ng Mutia Ti La Union 2020 beauty pageant nitong Martes, nilinaw ni Venus na ang mga ulat na hindi siya approve sa swimsuits sa beauty pageants.

“I think was misunderstood or misquoted on that part. When I say I don’t wear swimsuits anymore, it does not mean I do not approve of swimsuits in beauty pageants. Different organizations have different sets of rules,” sinabi ni Venus.

Inamin niya na “As for me, I had a difficult past. And in that difficult past, I was not very good in protecting my physical body when it comes to relationships. So I was not really very good in protecting my body as holy.”

“So when I came to know the Lord, it’s my conviction that I will not going to wear swimsuits anymore in public because I want to protect the eyes of our men, the eyes of my brothers in Christ, and those men who see me in that kind of outfit,” aniya pa.

Inihayag din ng dating Binibining Pilipinas title holder na naiinis siya kapag tinawag siya ng mga tao na “major, major” in reference sa kanyang sagot sa final question ng prestigious beauty pageant.

“It’s almost 10 years now. I would really get annoyed with people when they mention those words. Pero, I realized that the Lord can turn something that is not beautiful into something beautiful,” diin niya.

“And so I had endorsements like Pizza Hut. Major, major cheese. Mga ganyan. I see the blessings behind it. And now when people call me major, major, I like it because at least they remember the phrase, they remember the moment. Sometimes, they don’t even remember the year. But they remember it was Venus Raj,” idinagdag niya.

Abala ngayon si Venus sa isang organization na tinatawag na “Elevate Movement.” Wika niya: “It’s a youth ministry and we go to different schools all over the Philippines. We help high school students, even college students, to address their issues like early pregnancy, pre-marital sex, family problems, etc. I would talk in front of them. Then I also do corporate events.”

Ang beauty queen ay nagtapos ng master’s degree mula sa University of the Philippines noong 2017. At nagbabalak siya na kumuha ng doctorate degree, soon.

“Sabi ng mga professor ko ‘you’re done with masters so take doctorate naman. Sabi ko ‘mam, sir yung thesis ayoko na talagang balikan, ang sakit sa ulo.’ hahaha,” banggit niya. “Pero if I would have the opportunity, I would go back to school again.”

Ipinapaubahaya na rin ni Venus sa Diyos ang lahat pagdating sa kanyang lovelife.

“My prayer is ‘Lord if you want me to be single for the rest of my life, that your will be done. But will you remove the desire in my heart.’ At the moment, I still have the desire to be in a relationship, to have a family, to be a wife, to be a mother. But at the end of the day, I do not hold my life,” aniya.
