NAHALAL bilang bagong pangulo ng Basketball Coaches Association of the Philippinwsa (BCAP) si -Jose Rizal University coach Louie Gonzalez,bilang kapalit ni San Miguel Corporation sports director Alfrancis Chua.

Nagbitiw si Chua, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel governor sa PBA, matapos humalili kay dating PBA commissioner Chito Narvasa. Mananatili naman siyang miyembro ng grupo.

“I believe it’s time for a new man to lead BCAP, one who can devote more time in the pursuit of the goals and direction set by our predecessors for our local coaches,” pahayag ni Chua. “BCAP is in good hands with Coach Louie.”

Sa opisyal na pahayag ng BCAP, ikinasiya ng grupo ang pagkakahalal ni Gonzales.

“Coach Louie’s continued involvement in grassroots development and active coaching in the college ranks will bring a lot of positive transitional changes in the learning processes of our local coaches,” aniya.
