Iginiit ni House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy na patuloy na igagalang ng Kamara ang proseso ng hudikatura habang ipinagpapatuloy ang kanilang mandato sa ilalim ng Konstitusyon, kasunod ng desisyon ng Supreme Court of the Philippines na hindi maglabas ng temporary restraining order (TRO) hinggil sa impeachment ni Vice President Sara Duterte.

Sa kaniyang pahayag nitong Miyerkules, Abril 8, 2026, sinabi ni Dy na mahalaga ang balanse ng kapangyarihan sa pagitan ng mga sangay ng pamahalaan.

“This reflects the proper balance among institutions, with each branch performing its role within the bounds of the Constitution,” ani Dy.

Binigyang-diin din niya na ang mga isinasagawang hakbang ay bahagi ng legal na proseso ng pananagutan.

“The proceedings are part of the constitutional process of accountability, guided by facts, evidence, and the rule of law,” dagdag pa niya.

Ayon sa House Speaker, tinatanggap ng House of Representatives of the Philippines ang naging pasya ng Korte Suprema at nananatili ang kanilang mataas na paggalang dito.

“The House of Representatives welcomes the Supreme Court’s non-issuance of a temporary restraining order. We have the highest respect for the Court and its processes, and we defer to its authority on matters properly brought before it,” aniya.

Sa kabila nito, tiniyak ni Dy na magpapatuloy ang Kamara sa pagtupad ng tungkulin nito sa kawalan ng anumang legal na hadlang.

“In the absence of any legal restraint, the House of Representatives will continue to discharge its constitutional mandate,” saad niya.

Dagdag pa niya, sisiguraduhin ng House Committee on Justice na magiging maayos at patas ang proseso.

“The House Committee on Justice will proceed in accordance with the Constitution and the rules, through a fair, orderly, and evidence-based process where all parties are given the opportunity to be heard,” pahayag ni Dy.

Nananatili umanong nakatuon ang Kamara sa pagsunod sa Konstitusyon at sa pagpapatupad ng isang makatarungan at transparent na proseso.

Matatandaang nitong Miyerkules din nang maglabas ng kautusan ang Korte Suprema na makasagot ang Kamara hinggil sa mga petisyong inihain sa kanila laban sa nagpapatuloy na impeachment proceedings laban kay VP Sara.

“The SC consolidated these cases and, without necessarily giving due course to the petitions, directed respondents to comment within a non-extendible period of 10 days from receipt of notice,” anang inilabas na dokumento ng Korte Suprema.
