Nakopo ng PH Team na binubuo nina Merwin Tan, Patrick Nuqui, Kayle Abad at Kenzo Umali ang silver medal sa boy’s team of four event sa naiskor na 4,996 puntos. Naungusan sila ng Singapore na may 5,123 pinfalls, habang bronze medal ang South Korea (4,979).

Nakamit din ni Tan ang bronze medal sa boy’s all events sa kabuuang iskor na 3,860. Nagwagi si Brandon Ong ng Singapore (4,103) kasunod si Muhammad Hafiz (3,933).

Ikinalugod ni Philippine national team coach Biboy Rivera ang matikas na kampanya ng koponan.

“I’m happy with the performance of the team. We came in as underdogs in the tournament since we have 4 rookies. They performed under pressure and supported each other to make a strong comeback in the boys’ team event,” pahayag ni Rivera.
