MASISILAYAN sina Woman Fide Master Allaney Jia Doroy, Vic Glysen Derotas at Chester Neil Reyes sa napipintong 20th ASEAN Age Group Chess Championship na iinog sa Hunyo 9 hanggang 19 na gaganapin sa Mandalay City, Myanmar.

Sina Doroy, Derotas at Reyes ay miyembro ng National University chess team na nasa kandili nina team manager Samson Go at coach United States chess master Jose “Jojo” Aquino Jr.

“It’s one of the most challenging tournaments for us because all of the best ASEAN age groupers are expected to be there. We’ll just play one game at a time. Every round is important,” sabi ni Doroy na sariwa pa sa panalo sa inaugural Open Kitchen rapid chess tournament kamakailan ginanap sa Open Kitchen 34-36 P. Tuazon Boulevard, Brgy. Kaunlaran, Cubao, Quezon City .

“We’ll be up against strong and more seasoned players in this tournament and I hope my luck continues there. Right now, I’m in deep preparation, doing more practice games with my fellow chess masters,” dagdag pa ni Doroy na naglaro ng practice games kontra kay United States chess master Florentino Inumerable Jr., four-times Chicago Industrial Chess League Champion at Philippine Engineer and Scientist Organization (PESO) Champion.
