“I felt happy and blessed kasi of all the people na nandun. Isa ako sa nakapasok sa medal round. Maraming players na mas magaling. That’s why I didn’t expect to win. Despite of the win, I know there are still things that I have to work on,” pahayag ni Gella sa Manila Bulletin Online.
“I feel truly blessed with what I have achieved kasi it was my first World tournament. It still feels surreal talaga. This will not be possible without the aid of our Lord and the support I got from our team manager (Mr. Alex Lim), our coaches (Ms. Jojo Canare and Mr. Biboy Rivera), my teammates and my whole family. All the trainings and hard work paid off,” pahayag ni Nuevo.
