KAPIT-BISIG ang Go For Gold at Sunrise Events para sa mas malawak na Sunrise Sprint races sa susunod na tatlong taon.

Ipinahayag ni Sunrise Events founder Wilfred Steven Uytengsu ang pakikipagkasundo sa Go For Gold na kinatawan ni sports godfather Jeremy Go sa ginanap na media conference nitong Martes.
Ikinalugod ni Uytengsu ang tambalan ng Sunrise Events at Go For Gold sa pamosong sprint triathlon events na binubuo ng 750-meter swim, 20-meter bike, at 5-kilometer run.
“Three years ago, we started the Sunrise Sprint. Still a challenge but obviously very doable. We are very pleased to welcome our newest business partner Go For Gold,” pahayag ni Uytengsu.
Ayon kay Uytengsu ang sprint races ay makatutulong upang mas maraming atleta ang maenganyo na sumabak sa sports na triathlon at maihanda ang mga triathletes para s akanilang pagsalang sa mas mahahabang distansiya.
“The first is we want to welcome newbies, novices, and beginners to the sport of triathlon to take on a distance that is very achievable. I think if you have some amount of fitness, you can do it inside six months of training and have a good experience.
“The second category are triathletes who have been in the sport for a long time making a comeback race. The third category is to cater to our Alaska Ironkids triathletes, those who have aged up after 14 years old. This is really an opportunity for them because we have an 18-year old (age group) limit,” sambit ni Uytengsu.
Hinikayat din ni Go, aktibong cycling enthusiast, ang mga atleta at sports buff na makilahok sa mga programa ng Go For Gold Sunrise Sprints.
“We believe in quality events. We have been partnering with quality events so that we can bring world-class racing experience. Why sprints?
We believe that sprints allow us to bring in more new people in the sport. We feel that triathlon has huge potential in the Philippines. We’ve seen it in the Southeast Asian Games. We are improving,” sambit ni Go.
