KASABAY ng Independence Day celebration nitong Martes, nag-declare rin ng independence si Kris Aquino mula kay Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.

Hindi man binanggit ang pangalan ni Mayor H e r b e r t , malinaw na ang alkalde a n g t i n u k o y n i K r i s s a mg a pahayag n i y a s a kanyang Facebook/Instagram Live.

“I made a promise, okay? And I’m telling all of you this now, now you know. Kasi I showed the phone, right, and you saw that there was no replies because I promise myself I will never reply. I made the choice, I made the decision because every serious relationship I’ve had lasted four years at hinintay ko siya ng four years. Lumipas na ‘yung four years, so I said I’m done,” sabi ni Kris.

“Independence Day, so, I’m declaring my independence. Thank you when I needed someone you were there but I’m okay already. ‘Di mo na ako kailangang i-check, kasi emotionally... [I’m] healed. Financially, professionally in a good place. So, this is the perfect time. This is the perfect time for me to say thank you. I wish for your happiness.”

Sinundan ni Kris ang nasabing pahayag ng post sa Instagram: “This is where I am now... He will always have a space in my heart, I cannot & will not deny that... But, I can no longer give him a place in my life. Because sometimes we just have to accept, there are some people in your life that you have to love from a distance. #reality.”

Anyway, nakakatuwa ang reaction ni Kris sa fans ng love team nila ni Mayor Herbert, na dahil sa pahayag ni Kris ay broken na ang “pagsi-ship” niya sa kanila ni Mayor.

“Didn’t know what SHIP meant but Bimb just researched it—short for a romantic relationship popularized in fan fiction circles. Hindi kasi puwedeng maghintay sa wala. I credit him for seeing me through the worst of times—but I can now take care of myself.”

May lungkot kaming naramdaman sa sinabi ni Kris na she’s done at ile-let go na niya si Mayor Herbert. Natawa lang kami nang mabasa ang post niya tungkol sa natanggap niyang red and pink roses from @the.mightywarrior.
