WAGI si Lea Salonga bilang Best Featured Actress in a Musical Award sa Theater Fans’ Choice Awards ngayong taon. She was recognized for her portrayal of Erzulie, the goddess of love, sa musical na Once On This Island.

June 4, 2018 nang ilabas sa official website ng Broadway World ang mga resulta ng fan-based awards.

Sa Twitter ipinahayag ni Lea ang kanyang gratitude for the recognition.

Ang co-star ni Lea sa Once On This Island, si Alex Newell, ang nakakuha ng award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.

Humakot din ang Once On This Island ng iba pang awards, kabilang ang Best Revival of a Musical, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Choreography, Best Leading Actress in a Musical, Best Lighting Design, Best Orchestrations, Best Scenic Design, Best Sound Design of a Musical, at Broadway’s Backbone Best Musical Ensemble.

Nasa 16th edition na ngayon, inilarawan ng Broadway World ang Theater Fans’ Choice Awards na “by far the largest fan based awards of their kind.”
