Malaking tulong sa state colleges and universities (SUCs), ang karagdagang P10 milyon para sa capital outlay nila sa taong 2018.
Ayon kay Senador Sonnny Angara, ito ay magagamit na pambili ng kagamitan sa paghahanda ng pagpapatuppad ng batas sa Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education.
“We want to make sure that SUCs will not only have enough budget to implement the free tuition, but also funds to implement priority infrastructure projects and equipment upgrades to boost their capacity to provide quality higher education. This is what we mean by truly increasing the government’ investment in pro-poor and pro-quality higher education,” sambit ng Angara.
Driver na nanagasa sa NAIA, laya na matapos makapagpiyansa
Umabot sa P59.779 bilyon, o 1.81 porsiyentong mas mataas ito kumpara noong 2017 appropriations na P58.718 bilyon ang budget para dito.
Para naman sa Personal Services at Miscellaneous and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) ang 63.85% ng budget ng SUC, samantalang nakalaan ang natitirang pondo sa rehabilitasyon.
