Muling pamumunuan ni Sen. Risa Hontiveros ang Senate committee on health ilang araw matapos siyang mapatalsik ng mga kaalyado ng administrasyon bilang chairperson ng nasabing komite.
Ayon kay Hontiveros, tinanggap niya ang alok ni Sen. JV Ejercito na maging co-chairman ng nabanggit na komite.
“I accepted the offer of Senator Ejercito to co-chair the Senate Committee on Health while remaining in the minority bloc. I believe the struggle for the complete realization of universal healthcare for our people is beyond political parties and the majority-minority divide,” ani Hontiveros.
Kabilang si Hontiveros sa mga tinanggal sa pinamumunuang komite, na kinabibilangan din nina Senators Franklin Drilon, Francis Pangilinan at Bam Aquino. (Leonel M. Abasola)
