NAGLULUKSA at hindi pa rin makapaniwala ang mga celebrity supporter ni Hillary Clinton sa pagkakapanalo ni Donald Trump bilang bagong pangulo ng United States.
Sumugod si Lady Gaga sa Trump Tower, nagsulat ng makabagbag-damdaming sanaysay si Jennifer Lawrence at nag-post si Miley Cyrus ng video tungkol sa resulta ng eleksiyon.
Hinimok naman ng pop princess na si Katy Perry, na ang Twitter followers ay mas marami pa sa populasyon ng karamihan ng mga bansa sa Europe, na “(not to) sit still” o “weep.”

“We are not a nation that will let hate lead us,” sabi niya.
Sumali sa kilos protesta si Lady Gaga, na matatandaang kumanta sa final campaign rally ni Clinton noong Lunes, sa labas ng Trump Tower sa Manhattan na may dalang placard na, “Love Trumps Hate,” at ipinagpatuloy ito sa kanyang social media account noong Huwebes.
Nagpahayag naman si Lawrence sa Broadly na, “I don’t know what I would tell my daughter if I were you. Except to have hope. To work for the future.”
Umiyak si Miley Cyrus sa video na ipinost niya sa Twitter at sinabing, “And so, Donald Trump, I accept you, and this hurts to say, but I even accept you as the president of the United States.”
‘Wild card’
Nag-donate ang mga aktor, direktor, at studio executive ng $22 million para sa kampanya ni Clinton kumpara sa mas mababang $300,000 para kay Trump.
Iniisip na ng mga nagulantang na celebrity kung ano ang magiging implikasyon ng administrasyon ni Trump sa kilalang liberal na industriya ng pelikula nang tanggapin ni Clinton ng pagkatalo.
Sinabi ni Rich Greenfield, media analyst sa BTIG Research, na maaaring gumanti si Trump sa Hollywood, at dinagdag pa na, “certainly an unquantifiable risk for the sector overall.”
“Donald J. Trump was a wild card as a candidate. We will see if the same applies to his presidency,” aniya.
Kabilang sina Chris Evans, JK Rowling, Amanda Seyfried, Kriten Bell, Cher, Ariana Grande, Seth MacFarlane, at Rashida Jones sa mga mga celebrity na nagbahagi sa social media ng kanilang pagkadismaya sa resulta ng eleksiyon.
Sa panig naman ni Trump, iilan ang celebrity na hindi na makapaghintay para i-congratulate ang kanilang napiling kandidato, kabilang sina Kirstie Alley, Azealia Banks, Hulk Hogan, Stephen Baldwin at Roseanne Barr.
“Great faith in God works. Mr @realDonaldTrump I’m proud to call you President of the United States of America,” tweet ng Happy Days actor na si Scott Baio, na nagsalita sa Republican national convention noong summer.
Somber tone
Binigyang-diin ni Jeff Bock, senior box office analyst for Exhibitor Relations, ang positibong dulot ng pagiging pangulo ni Trump, at iminungkahi na maaaring i-renew ni Alec Baldwin ang kanyang kontrata para gayahin si Trump sa Saturday Night Live.
“Also, old white men with hairpieces will take their rightful place as the de facto bad guy in action films. No more pinning ultimate evil on minorities and robots for the time being,” saad ni Bock sa AFP.
Naniniwala rin siya na aasahan ng mga manonood na magkakaroon ng mas maraming political movies sa pagtatapos ng unang termino ni Trump.
“Activism within documentary circles will likely increase, too, as celebrities and various industry power players will use their leverage to fight back against the GOP,” dagdag niya.
Tinanong naman si Robert De Niro, na lumabas sa Jimmy Kimmel Live ng ABC noong Miyekules, kung nais pa rin niyang sapakin ang mukha ni Trump.
Lumabas sa isang viral video ang 73-anyos na Raging Bull actor ang sinabi niya na sasapakin niya ang kandidatong si Trump at inilarawan din ito bilang “punk” at “bozo.”
“I can’t do that now, he’s president,” saad niya kay Kimmel. “And I have to respect that position… We have to see what he’s going to do and how he’s really going to follow through on certain things.”
IBA PANG REAKSIYON
Umulan sa social media ang iba’t ibang reaksiyon ng mga Hollywood celebrity sa pagkapanalo ni Trump.
“Never before have so many Americans been asked to accept a President who specifically targeted them with hate and suspicion” saad ng singer-songwriter na si John Legend.
Sabi naman ni Mick Jagger: “Just was watching the news... maybe they’ll ask me to sing ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’ at the inauguration, ha!”
“This new president has a lot of work ahead of himself to heal the divide, I wish him well. For the sake of our beautiful country. Not the blue states. Not the red states, but for THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA,” ayon sa actress-producer na si Eva Longoria.
“Bullying can’t be allowed. Sexism can’t be allowed. Racism can’t be allowed. Homophobia can’t be tolerated. Become activists. Prepare for the next cycle.
