Inihain ni Rep. Harlin Neil Abayon III (Party List, AANGAT TAYO) ang panukalang House Bill 1480 na mag-aamyenda sa Republic Act 9064 (National Athletes, Coaches and Trainers Benefits and Incentives Act of 2001 and Sports Benefits and Incentives Act of 2001).

“This legislation will accord two significant privileges to winning Filipino Olympian: The privilege of being accorded as tax-free citizen for life and; the privilege of being known as the Pambansang Pensionado,” pahayag ni Abayon.

Batay sa panukala, tatanggap ng buwanang pensiyon na P10,000 na magsisimula limang taon matapos manalo sa Olympics at magtutuloy sa loob ng 20 taon o hanggang sa edad na 60.

Ang panukala ay may titulong “Tax-Free for Life Filipino Olympian Act”.
