KUNG si Mexican Hall of Fame trainer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain ang tatanungin, angat si Manny Pacquiao dahil hindi nabago ang estilo ni WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley sa ilalim ng pagsasanay ni dating ESPN boxing analyst Teddy Atlas.
Para sa beteranong trainer ni four division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, iginiit niyang matutulad lamang ang resulta ng laban nina Pacquiao at Bradley sa Abril 9 sa Las Vegas, Nevada sa naunang dalawang sagupaan.
Natalo si Pacquiao sa kontrobersiyal na 12-round split decision kay Bradley na umagaw sa kanyang WBO belt noong 2012 ngunit sa rematch noong 2014 ay nabawi ng People’s champ ang korona sa kumbinsidong paraan.
Pamilyar si Beristain sa estilo nina Pacquiao at Bradley na kapwa nakalaban ni Marquez.
Iginiit ni Beristain na muling magwawagi si Pacquiao kay Bradley kaya magreretiro ang Pinoy boxer na hawak ang WBO 147 pounds belt.
“No, I do not think Bradley will have a greater opportunity [to get the win], because Bradley is the same [fighter] - with that stinking, fast and difficult style,” paliwanag ni Beristain sa ESPN Deportes. “I do not think Teddy Atlas will create a change of such magnitude that Pacquiao is going to [leave boxing] with a loss.”
Idingadag ni Beristain na napakaresponsableng boksingero ni Pacquiao kaya hindi ito lilisan sa professional boxing sa pagkatalo.
“In addition to being a good fighter, Pacquiao is a responsible fighter, professional. He is not going to walk away [from boxing] with a loss, so he chose Bradley,” giit ni Beristain. “And Bradley is a good fighter but we all know who will win unless Bradley becomes a very different fighter than what he’ has shown throughout his career.”
