Pinaigting ni Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) President at Archbishop of Lipa Gilbert Garcera ang naunang panawagan ni Pope Leo XIV na magsagawa ng special prayer vigil para sa kapayapaan ng mundo.Ito ay sa gitna ng tumitinding tensyon sa Middle East matapos atakehin ng Amerika at Israel ang Iran noong Pebrero 28.
Batay sa inilabas na Circular No. 26-04 ng CBCP nitong Martes, Abril 7, hinimok nila ang mga diyosesis na tumalima sa panawagan ng Santo Papa.
“In communion with the Holy Father, we respectfully encourage all dioceses to organize a prayer vigil on April 11, at any suitable time of the day, so that the faithful may spiritually join the universal inittiative,” saad sa nasabing dokumento.
Dagdag pa rito, “This may take the form of Eucharistic adoration, the Holy Rosary, the celebration of the Holy Mass for Peace, or other appropriate liturgical or devotional gatherings.”
Sa huli, umaasa ang CBCP sa pagtugon ng mga diyosesis kaugnay sa mahalagang panawagang ito.
