Pormal na inanunsyo ni House Justice Committee Chair Gerville Luistro ang pagtatakda ng botohan ng mga miyembro ng kanilang Komite tungkol sa “sufficiency in substance” ng impeachment complaint laban kay Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
Ayon sa naging pagdinig ng House Committee on Justice nitong Martes, Pebrero 3, 2026, sinabi ni Luistro na napakinggan na raw sila ang mga diskusyon kaugnay sa impeachment complaint laban sa Pangulo—na inihain ni Atty. Andre De Jesus, at inindorso ng mambabatas na si Rep. Jett Nisay at mga miyembro ng Makabayan Bloc.
“We’ve heard significant discussions on the needed ultimate facts. There must be specific details for us to be able to substantiate the offense which constitute the grounds for impeachment. We’ve [also heard] discussion about the need for authenticity of not only the records but even the video,” pagsisimula niya.
Dagdag pa niya, “We’ve [also heard] about the need for personal knowledge with respect to the allegations of the facts in the impeachment complaint. As well as the nexus which was repeatedly mentioned by Hon. De Lima.”
Anak ng pinatay na policewoman nadawit lang; mga suspek, inaanak sa kasal ng biktima!
Ani Luistro, kailangan daw na may “grounds” na ma-constitute ang isang “offense” para sa impeachment at hindi raw sapat ideklara agad na “guilty” sa mga nailatag na “offense” ang isang impeachable official.
“It’s not enough that the impeachable official is guilty of an offense. That offense must constitute a ground for impeachment,” aniya.
Pagpapatuloy niya, “I hope that all our significant discussions will be used by the honorable members of the Committee when we vote on whether or not the impeachment complaint of De Jesus is sufficient in substance.”
Dahil dito, pormal na hiniling at inanunsyo ni Luistro sa nasabing pagdinig ang pagtatakda ng botohan ng kanilang miyembro sa Komite sa paparating na Miyerkules, Pebrero 4, 2026 para sa reklamo ni De Jesus.
“In that regard, I wish to share to the Committee that the Chair is in receipt on request to do the voting sufficiency in substance of De Jesus' complaint on our succeeding meeting that is tomorrow,” saad niya.
Dahilan ni Luistro, kailangang daw mabigyan ng sapat na oras ang mga miyembro ng kanilang Komite upang busisiin pa ang mga komento at opinyon na kanilang narinig.
“The reason is to give time to the members of the Committee to… decipher, evaluate all the comments and opinions we’ve heard today,” paliwanag niya.
“If all the members are amenable to that, contrary to what we did yesterday, we concluded our deliberation already about the sufficiency in substance of De Jesus complain but we will be voting on this tomorrow afternoon, after we are done with our deliberation on the sufficiency in substance of Masa et al complaint,” pagtatapos pa niya.
