Nakahanda na ang higit 5,000 security personnel mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan para matiyak ang kapayapaan at seguridad ng publiko sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit.

Ayon sa Coast Guard District Central Visayas, ang mga nai-deploy na uniformed at civilian personnel ay binubuo ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), at Office of Civil Defense (OCD).

Ibinahagi rin ni Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan ng Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) ang pagpapadala ng mga personnel mula sa Department of Health (DOH) at Naval Forces Central. 

Bukod pa sa mga ito, magpapadala rin daw ang PRO-7 ng 51 patrol cars, 50 motorsiklo, dalawang police airbus, at communications equipment sa mga araw ng ASEAN Summit, na nakatakdang ganapin mula Enero 25 hanggang Enero 31, sa mga lungsod ng Cebu, Mandaue, at Lapu-Lapu.
