"Both reported Davao as their final destination. They left the country on November 28, 2025, on a connecting flight from Davao to Manila, with Sydney as their final destination,” saad ng BI.

"The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has taken note of recent local and foreign media reports referring to the Philippines’ connection with the Bondi Beach incident in Sydney,” saad ng DFA sa ibinahagi nitong statement nitong Martes, Disyembre 23.
Dagdag pa nila, “The Department underscores the importance of allowing competent authorities to complete their investigations and of exercising care against misleading characterizations, especially of the security situation in the Philippines, while facts are still being established.”
“The Philippine Government is in close coordination with Australian authorities through existing bilateral mechanisms to verify information related to the matter, in line with established security and law enforcement cooperation,” anang DFA.
“The Department calls on media organizations to ensure accuracy, balance, and context in their reporting, and to avoid sweeping generalizations and amplifying speculation that may spread misinformation or inflame prejudice. The Philippine Government has made a lot of significant strides in improving the domestic security situation in order to promote and sustain peace and order, and socio-economic development around the country,” dagdag pa nila.
“The Philippines remains committed to contributing to regional and international efforts to counter terrorism and violent extremism, including through sustained information sharing, law enforcement collaboration, and border security cooperation with Australia and other partner countries,” pagtatapos nito.
“Of course, the President strongly rejects the sweeping statement and the misleading characterization of the Philippines as the ISIS training hotspot,” saad ni Palace Press Officer at Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro sa kaniyang press briefing kamakailan.
