Aabot sa 252 ghost projects ang natuklasan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), matapos ang kanilang imbestigasyon sa 10,000 proyektong pang-imprastraktura sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa.
Kaugnay ito sa utos ng Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) sa AFP, katuwang ang Philippine National Police (PNP) hinggil sa imbestigasyon ng mga maanomalyang flood control projects.
Sa ibinahaging pahayag ni AFP spokesperson Col. Francel Margareth Padilla, sinabi niyang sakop ng kanilang pagsisiyasat ang mga infrastructure projects mula pa noong taong 2016.
“From these 30,000 projects, 10,000 na po ‘yong ating na-inspect from the side of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). It turned out that a total of around 252 of these na mga naikot na po namin are ghost projects from 2016 to present,” saad ni Padilla.
“Patuloy po kaming nagco-conduct nitong mga inspections on our end—to complete ito pong required of us to inspect all 30,000 projects. Hindi po tayo tumitigil dito [at] patuloy po ‘yan,” dagdag pa niya.
