Naaresto ng Philippine National Police (PNP), sa tulong ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), ang dalawang high-value individuals (HVIs) sa Brgy. Polong, Bugallon, Pangasinan, matapos masabat sa kanila ang halos 125 kilo ng pinaghihinalaang shabu, aabot sa humigit-kumulang ₱850 milyon ang halaga.

Ibinahagi ng PNP sa kanilang Facebook post nitong Biyernes, Oktubre 3, ang mga detalye hinggil sa pagkakaaresto ng dalawang suspek.

“The apprehended individuals are a 40-year-old Chinese national and a 54-year-old Filipino, taken into custody during a buy-bust operation conducted from 12:27 PM to 8:10 PM on October 2, 2025. The operation also led to the seizure of one Hyundai Starex, one mobile phone, and five million pesos in boodle money,” anang PNP.

Inilahad din ng PNP ang mga pahayag mula kina Acting Chief PNP Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. at PNP Spokesperson Police Brigadier General Randulf T. Tuaño.

"This joint operation demonstrates the relentless resolve of our law enforcement units to protect our communities and enforce the law. High value syndicates will be relentlessly pursued, and we will continue to dismantle illegal operations wherever they exist,” ani Nartatez Jr.

"The success of this joint operation highlights the critical cooperation between national and local agencies. We encourage the public to remain vigilant and continue supporting government efforts to rid our streets of illegal drugs,” ani Tuaño.

Ang mga nasakoteng mga suspek ay nasa kustodiya na ng PDEA Intelligence Service para sa tamang disposisyon.

Matatandaang kamakailan ay nagkasa naman ng isang malawakang pagsunog ng libo-libong puno ng marijuana ang pinagsamang-puwersa ng PNP at PDEA sa Kalinga, sa ilalim ng direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong Marcos Jr. na paigtingin ang kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga.
