Ipinag-utos ng Malacañang ang implementasyon ng 2024 National Disaster Response Plan upang maibsan ang posibleng malawakang epekto ng mga paparating na bagyo sa bansa.
Ibinahagi ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) sa kanilang Website nitong Huwebes, Setyembre 25, ang direktibang ibinaba ng Palasyo sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno ukol sa implementasyon ng nasabing disaster response plan.
“Amid the typhoon season, Malacañang has directed various government agencies to implement the 2024 National Disaster Response Plan (NDRP) which details comprehensive strategies for disaster risk reduction to save lives, provide quick assistance, and reduce the impact of disasters,” ani PCO.
Sa ilalim ng Memorandum Circular No. 100, na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin noong Martes, Setyembre 23, ang National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), sa pamamagitan ng Office of Civil Defense (OCD), ay naatasan sa implementasyon ng 2024 NDRP.
“It is imperative for all national government agencies and instrumentalities, including government-owned or -controlled corporations, and LGUs to support and cooperate towards the successful implementation of the 2024 NDRP,” nasasaad sa MC 100.

“In accordance with their respective mandates, all concerned agencies and instrumentalities of the National Government, including government-owned or -controlled corporations, are hereby directed, and all LGUs are hereby encouraged, to undertake efforts in support of the implementation of 2024 NDRP, and the plans and programs specified therein,” dagdag pa nito.
Nagbigay-mandato rin ang MC 100 ng isang “close coordination” sa pagitan ng PCO at OCD upang maipadala at maipakalat sa lahat ng opisina at “concerned government agencies” ang impormasyong nakalakip sa 2024 NDRP.
Nirekomenda rin ng NDRRMC ang adaptasyon ng 2024 NDRP na naglalayong magbigay ng “disaster risk reduction and management initiatives” upang maibsan ang malaking epekto ng mga kalamidad, at makapagpadala ng agarang tulong sa mga nangangailangan.
