Handa ang Malacañang na makatrabaho ang bagong House Speaker na si Rep. Faustino Dy III.

"The President recognizes the vital role of the House of Representatives, especially at a time when the public demands visible results and Congress is called upon to take active steps that address people's concerns and deliver real improvements in daily life," pahayag ng Palasyo nitong Miyerkules, Setyembre 18.

"We respect the independence of the chamber and acknowledge the contributions of former Speaker Martin Romualdez. We now look forward to working with Speaker Faustino Dy III to advance measures that strengthen the economy, ensure basic services, and protect our democracy," dagdag pa nito.

"The Administration remains committed to constructive collaboration with all lawmakers to keep the focus on the needs of Filipino families and move the nation forward."

Sa ginanap ng sesyon ng Kamara ngayong araw, sinabi ni Romualdez na napagpasyahan niyang bumaba sa puwesto matapos ang malalim na pagninilay at panalangin.

"After deep reflection and prayer, I have made a decision. Today, with a full heart and a clear conscience, I tender my resignation as Speaker of the House of the Representatives," saad ni Romualdez.

Kaugnay nito, pinalitan siya ni Isabela 6th District Rep. Faustino "Bojie" Dy III bilang bagong House Speaker.

Nakakuha si Dy ng 253 kabuuang bilang ng boto mula sa mga kapuwa niya kongresista habang 28 naman ang nag-abstain.
