Iginiit ni Vice President Sara Duterte na wala umanong pampublikong pondo na ginastos sa lahat ng kaniyang travel sa ibang bansa. 

Sa ginanap na pagdinig ng House Committee on Appropriations nitong Martes, Setyembre 16, inusisa ni ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. Antonio Tinio kung magkano ang kabuuang ginastos ng Bise Presidente sa travel nito.

“No public funds were used for all my travels. I didn’t charge representations, I didn’t charge tickets, I didn’t charge per diem for all my travels in the Office of the Vice President,” saad ni Duterte.

Dagdag pa niya, “So, if you can see, in the breakdown of the budget of travels of the Office of the Vice President, you can see that there was a zero amount for the Vice President.”

Matatandaang 13 bansa ang totalidad ng bansang dinadayo ni Duterte simula noong Hulyo 2024 kabilang na ang Kuwait, France, Netherlands, at Belgium na pinuntahan niya lang kamakailan.

Ayon kay OVP Budget Division chief Atty. Kelvin Gerome Tenido noong Setyembre 11, umabot umano sa ₱20.68 milyon ang nagastos ni Duterte sa mga travel nito.

Nasa ₱13.21 milyon umano ang napunta sa local travel samantalang ₱7.47 naman ang sa foreign trips.
