Ibinahagi ng dating senador, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) secretary at presidential candidate na si Mar Roxas ang malungkot na balita hinggil sa pagpanaw ng kaniyang inang si Judy Araneta-Roxas.
Sa Facebook post noong gabi ng Martes, Agosto 26, sinabi ni Roxas na sumakabilang-buhay na ang kanilang ina, kapiling ang mga mahal sa buhay.
"We are very sad to share that our mother Judy Araneta Roxas passed away peacefully this morning, surrounded by family and loved ones. Please include her in your prayers. Wake details to follow," aniya.
Bagama’t hindi pa inilalabas ang kumpletong detalye ng burol at paglilibing, tiniyak ng pamilya Roxas na agad nilang ipaaalam ang iskedyul sa publiko.

Nag-post din ng tribute para sa kaniya ang misis ni Mar na si broadcast-journalist Korina Sanchez-Roxas.

Nagbigay rin ng tribute para sa kaniya si "Mamamayang Liberal (ML) Party-list Rep. Leila De Lima.

Kabilang din siya sa prominenteng angkan ng Araneta na kilala sa larangan ng negosyo at serbisyo-publiko.
Isa siya sa mga survivor ng Plaza Miranda bombing noong Batas Militar sa Pilipinas.
Samantala, bumuhos na ang pakikiramay mula sa iba’t ibang kaibigan, kakilala, at tagasuporta ng pamilya, kabilang ang mga personalidad sa larangan ng politika at showbiz.
