Naghayag ng reaksiyon si Mamamayang Liberal (ML) Rep. Leila De Lima kaugnay sa pagsibak kay Police Major General Nicolas Torre III bilang hepe ng Philippine National Police (PNP).
Batay sa inisyung memorandum ni Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin noong Lunes, Agosto 25, inatasan si Torre ng proper turnover.
"For the continuous and efficient delivery of public services in the PNP, you are hereby directed to ensure proper turnover of all matters, documents, and information relative to your office," saad sa liham.

Kaya sa latest X post ni De Lima nitong Martes, Agosto 26, napatanong siya sa naging hakbang ng Palasyo sa posisyon ni Torre.
“What's happening?! They better have a good reason in doing that to a very popular, much appreciated and high-performing PNP Chief!” saad ni De Lima.
Sa kasalukuyan, habang isinusulat ang artikulong ito, wala pang inilalabas na pahayag ang Palasyo kaugnay sa dahilan ng pagtanggal kay Torre bilang hepe ng PNP.
Ngunit ayon kay Senador Ping Lacson, umakto umano si Torre nang lampas sa katungkulan nito.
