Ikinabahala ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez ang naging pasya ng Senado na ibalik sa House of Representatives ang articles of impeachment ni Vice President Sara Duterte.

Sa kaniyang closing speech sa House plenary session noong Miyerkules, Hunyo 11, 2025, bagama't nakababahala umano ang naging aksyon ng impeachment court sa impeachment, nanindigan siyang walang nilabag ang Kamara noong ipinasa nila ito sa Senado.

“I rise — not in defiance — but with resolve, guided by duty, grounded in principle.  The decision of the Senate, sitting as an impeachment court, to return the articles of impeachment is deeply concerning,” ani Romualdez.

Dagdag pa niya, "Let me speak plainly, yet with utmost respect.  The House of Representatives acted not out of haste, but with deliberate care. We follow the law, we honored our mandated, and above all, we stood for what the Filipino people deserve."

Giit pa ni Romualdez, na ginawa lamang umano nila ang kanilang trabaho bilang isang sangay ng gobyernong boses ng taumbayan.

"Indeed, a government that answers to its citizens, the House is not only the voice of the people, it’s a guardian of their trust when allegations arise that threaten public confidence in our institutions, our duty is clear — to seek the truth, to uphold transparency, and to demand accountability without fear, without favor," saad ni Romualdez.

Matatandaang nagkasa ng mosyon ang Senado matapos mapagbotohan ng mga senador na ibalik ang articles of impeachment ni VP Sara sa Kamara dahil umano sa pagiging kuwestiyonable ng mga ito sa Konstitusyon.
