Inihayag ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. na sumangguni sa kaniya ang anak na si Ilocos 1st district Representative Sandro Marcos sa pagpirma niya sa impeachment cases laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

Sa pagharap ni PBBM sa media nitong Huwebes, Pebrero 6, 2025, binanggit ng pangulo ang naging payo niya sa anak na mambabatas kung saan inihalintulad niya umano ang proseso ng pagsusulong ng batas sa isang impeachment.

“When you're in the legislature, when you file a bill,-okay, House Bill Number 1, 2, 3, etc., etc. 'Pag-file mo 'yan, that bill takes a life of its own. Kahit anong gawin ng congressman na nag-file, o senador na nag-file, kahit ayaw niya yung mga changes na magagawin doon sa kaniyang bill, wala na siyang magagawa. Because the bill is going through the process  as it should. And part of that process will be amendments, additions, all that,” saad ni PBBM.

Dagdag pa ng pangulo, “Once it has been filled, there is a procedure that needs to be followed already. So sabi ko 'Andiyan na tayo.’ Sabi ko kay Cong. Sandro, 'the process has already begun. So it's your duty now to support that process. So do your duty!' That's what I told him,” ani PBBM. 

Iginiit din umano ni PBBM kay Rep. Sandro na kailangan umano nitong suportahan ang nasabing proseso bilang isang kongresista. 

“Do your duty. You have to support the process. You are constitutionally mandated to carry out that process, and you are a Congressman, so do your duty. That's what I told him,” saad ni PBBM. 

Samantala, bagama’t humingi raw ng payo si Sandro sa kaniya, nilinaw rin ng Pangulo na hindi umano niya alam na ito rin ang kauna-unahang pipirma sa nasabing 215 signatories na sumuporta upang tuluyang ma-impeach si VP Sara sa House of Representatives. 

“I didn't know you'll (him) be the first to sign," anang Pangulo.
