Nasa ₱88 milyong halaga ng umano'y smuggled fuel at 16 trucks ang nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa Mariveles, Bataan nitong Sabado.
Sinabi ni BOC-Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) chief Verne Enciso, kinumpiska rin nila ang motorized tanker na ginamit sa pagbiyahe ng smuggled fuel.
Ang anti-smuggling operation ay ipinatupad ng CIIS, at National Bureau of Investigation-Anti-Organized and Transnational Crime Division (NBI-AOTCD) sa Barangay Alas Asin kasunod ng natanggap na impormasyon mula hindi nagpakilalang impormante.

"Our agents went to the anchorage area upon receiving information that there were several vessels carrying alleged smuggled fuel and thereafter being transferred to lorry trucks. A significant challenge in this operation is that this happened in a private port without BOC personnel, so the intel we received is critical,” pagdidiin naman ni Commissioner Bien Rubio.
