Plano ng Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) na ilunsad na sa Nobyembre ang web-based application lotto betting system o e-lotto na nagpapahintulot sa online lotto betting sa bansa.

Ayon kay PCSO General Manager Mel Robles, na siya ring vice chairperson ng PCSO, isinusulong nila lotto digitalization matapos ang matagumpay na paglulunsad ng Philippine Lottery System (PLS) lotto technology platform nitong Linggo, na nag-a-upgrade sa teknolohiyang ginagamit ng PCSO.

"The e-lotto is another innovation that we will introduce. We are looking at November to start it,"  pahayag pa ni Robles.

"Worldwide, they already have the e-lotto. Tayo na lang yata ang hindi," dagdag pa niya. "It's also good to be attune to the times. Because this will also cater to a different market."

Sinabi ni Robles na sa pamamagitan ng online lotto betting, magiging mas accessible ang lotto, sa pamamagitan ng kanilang smartphone o computer.

Aniya pa, "We're confident this will work side by side with our outlets or kiosks especially with this Philippine Lottery System that we are introducing now."

"The adoption of the Philippine Lottery System is a milestone, because finally after 25 years, it (lotto system used by the PCSO) has been upgraded," ani Robles.

Ipinagmalaki rin ni Robles na nakakita na sila ng significant increase sa kanilang lotto sales dahil sa mas episyenteng lotto bet processing sa mga outlets.
