Ito ang pahayag ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa nakatakdang pagkakaroon ng Tagalog Language Course sa prestihiyosong unibersidad ng Harvard.
Matatandaang inanunsyo ng student publication na The Harvard Crimson noong Marso 27 ang nakatakdang pagtuturo ng lenggwaheng Tagalog, maging ng Bahasa Indonesian, at Thai sa Harvard University.

Sa pagtitipon ng Filipino community sa Massachusett nitong Huwebes, Abril 20, sinabi ni Romualdez sa mga estudyante ng Harvard University na maituturing na isang “source of great national pride” ang pagtuturo ng Tagalog sa prestihiyosong unibersidad.
“The university is one of the top academic institutions in the world, if not the best. Its programs are emulated or duplicated in other institutions of higher learning. Kaya naman proud na proud tayo sa development na ito,” ani Romualdez.
“I hope and pray that the Harvard Tagalog course will flourish and grow in the future to include many aspects of Filipino culture!” dagdag niya.
