Nanawagan si House SpeakerMartin Romualdez kay Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves, Jr. na umuwi na sa bansa mula sa Estados Unidos upang harapin ang kaso nito.
Inilabas ni Romualdez ang apela matapos mag-expire ang travel authority ni Teves nitong Marso 9.
"l advise Representative Arnie Teves to come back to the country as soon as possible. His authority to travel to the United States is covered only by the period February 28 to March 9, 2023. Clearly, the travel authority of Representative Teves has expired effective today,” ani Romualdez.
“His travel outside the country beyond the period mentioned is no longer authorized by the House of Representatives. Makabubuti rin na umuwi si Cong. Arnie para harapin ang pagkakadawit ng pangalan ng kanilang pamilya sa pagkamatay ni Governor Roel Degamo.We all want to hear his side of the story,” aniya.

Matatandaang pinagbabaril si Degamo sa kanilang compound sa Pamplona, Negros Oriental nitong Marso 4, na ikinasawi rin ng walong iba pa.
Matapos ang pagpaslang kay Degamo, naungkat ang sunud-sunod na pagpatay sa lalawigan noong 2019 kung saan idinadawit si Teves kaya kinasuhan ito ng murder.
