“She’s one of the Philippines most sought-after plus-size model. Actually one of the best. You’ll see her on Avon, HnM, Cosmopolitan, SM & many more advertisements, prints and commercials,” pagtatanggol ni Eric.

Blind Item

"To everyone that body shamed me on my husband’s recent Christmas post. My prayer for you is to find true & unconditional love. Not just from your significant other, but also from yourself."

"Love yourself enough even if you’re going through something that you will see it’s beauty and strength despite it’s imperfection.

Yes, feel free to ZOOM in. Know that you can body shame me all day long, but sweetheart, that don’t faze me!"

“'If we make self-love or body acceptance conditional, the truth is, we will never be happy with ourselves. The reality is that our bodies are constantly changing, and they will never remain exactly the same. If we base our self-worth on something as ever-changing as our bodies, we will forever be on the emotional roller coaster of body obsession and shame.' — Chrissy King."

"Just because we’re big, doesn’t mean we can’t live our best life. With THE Ashley Graham."

"Body-shaming is a horrible reality that everyone faces over and over again in their lives. But what exactly is body-shaming?

According to Healthline, body-shaming 'involves criticizing and harassing overweight people about their weight or eating habits to make them feel ashamed of themselves,' with the intent to 'motivate people to eat less, exercise more, and lose weight.'"

"Some believe that making overweight people feel ashamed of their weight or eating habits may motivate them to get healthier. However, scientific evidence confirms that nothing could be further from the truth. People take the wrong approach in trying to approach the topic of your weight. Family members, doctors, and complete strangers make it the hardest and they can cut you down in a split second."

"Body-shaming can cause a decrease in motivation, depression, eating disorders, reduced self-esteem, stress, weight gain, mental problems, increased risk of suicide, increased cortisol (a stress hormone) levels, and it can increase your risk for certain chronic diseases."

"Practice kindness… kindness to yourself and kindness to others. Kindness to your body, it may not be at the best shape now, love it and help it get back on track. But NEVER hate it."
